2009 wrap ups!

hello.. i knowww, i haven't been updating my blogs lately. i was just too busy. busy with almost everything. i haven't got time to blog about christmas, haven't got time to write about new year, working, people, Dublin trip with Bernice...and whatnots. well, i was guilty, therefore here i am, class cancelled writting blogs early morning.

year 2009 was definitely an exciting year for me. i have to admit that. full with everything i had ever imagine that could have happened to me all my life. i'm doing a brief wrap up post of my entire 2009, therefore, loads of pictures ahead. u may navigate away from this site if you're not interested.

well basically, early half of the year was already been blogged.. the excitement starts from th day my family sent me off to a foreign land...

leaving on a jet plane......blablabla...
13hours of flight and here i am in Oxford....thanks to daddy and mommy..much sacrificed.

i was blissfully sent to Oxford for my Law Degree. talk about being lucky.

and the journey begins...
began with knowing this sucker. Malay dude, Alif.

no, not about him, its about what he brought me....
very sayangness MinYuen and Jeannie the sakaiiii. they were seriously the friendliest strangers i've ever met! hahaha! we clicked!

throughout my stay in the uk last year, i had marvelous adventures i had ever thought of.

1) i got a place and a tiny little trophy in Latin Dancing competition. and also the Singaporean partner. he was quite funny actually. lol

2) Swindon - homestay with people i don't know for Christmas.

nicely set up christmas tree in the living room of the Senior family. very very movie-like. the christmas songs and the whole christmasy decorated rooms.

nicely decorated side cabinet. i really felt Christmas.

table was set nicely before meals served. i think thats how they do it because they always do that before every meals.

my host family father and son cutting turkey for my christmas lunch.

a complete, perfectly aromatic christmas lunch.
turkey. bacon. sausage. baked potatoes. bruscles sprouts. purple cabbage. christmas cake.

a simple yet really tasty christmas dinner. and i've got christmas gifts too!
that marked the end of my 2009 Christmas in UK. one of a kind.

3)
another great yet lucky encounter in Oxford.
thanks to Jeannie, i've got a job in Xi'an chinese restaurant & bar in Summertown. lol. i LOVE this place! i LOVE the bosses! i LOVE it here!Gary held a Christmas dinner with the staffs 2 days before Christmas in the restaurant itself. with all chef's recommended dishes. thumbs up!

4)New Year celebration in London with Elaine Tan. what a wonderful stay with Brandon as well.

5) year 2010 started off well with my trip to Dublin to see an old friend - Bernice Lim..

first day was to Belfast with her and her mates. and thats B and i after.....3 years?

and then Sligo for the spontaneous trip. *we didnt do much homework before going though.

see! thats me with a tiny piece of paper in my hand! that was the map to the hotel we stayed in for that night. a 2D1N trip.

yea. her purpose to visit Sligo was this place! the Graveyard of a great poet of "Lake Isle of Innesfree". you remember this poem? i have to admit and swear to whatever, this place has the strongest wind i had ever imagine in my life! it could litterally blow me off. on top of that, it was FREEZING COLD. what do you think har Bernice lim! HAHA.

walked around Sligo in just half a day, that was a really tiny city. we round it up with Subway as our lunch before we head back to Dublin. THANKS FOR THE LUNCH LAH B!

eventhough it was kind of all messed up when we first arrived Sligo. evethough we quarrelled in the middle of Sligo city. evethough she was pathetic because she really talks alot, just like the old times. We did enjoyd Sligo and each other's company after...err....3 years? hahaha. we both agreed that Sligo-ians has the warmest heart.

and i am looking forward for Bernice's visit to Oxford in March! i have all ALMOST well planned B. im sure it will be a fantastic trip for you!

and then? i went back to Malaysia for a surprise visit for all of my loved ones in Malaysia..

the entire 2 weeks wasnt great but it was lovely. it totally fit in to my ultimate purpose back home. my family. my dog. my friends. thats all. lovely.

with hopes that the new semester begins with all new hopes.

ps// i am back in shape for my ballroom dancing competition training too!

end.
